The National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) is one of the most prestigious institutes in Pakistan. Securing admission requires a solid strategy, primarily because of how heavily their merit formula is skewed towards their own entry test.

Why the NET is Crucial

Unlike other engineering universities that may give 50% weightage to your FSc marks, NUST assigns a massive 75% weightage to the NET. This means that even if a student has an average score in Matric (10%) and FSc (15%), an exceptional performance in the 200-mark NET can easily secure them a spot in top programs like Software Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
