Importance of Offering Salah on Time
Salah (Namaz) is the second pillar of Islam and is obligatory upon every mature Muslim. Offering prayers at their prescribed times brings discipline, spiritual peace, and countless blessings. As Allah says in the Holy Quran: "Indeed, prayer has been decreed upon the believers a decree of specified times." (Surah An-Nisa 4:103)
How Are These Timings Calculated?
The prayer timings displayed above are fetched using the highly accurate Aladhan API. For Pakistan, the default calculation method used is the University of Islamic Sciences, Karachi, which is widely accepted across South Asia. The Asr timing is calculated based on the standard Hanafi fiqh methodology.
Note on Sunset & Sunrise:The time mentioned for Sunrise is when the sun just begins to appear over the horizon, ending the time for Fajr. Maghrib time begins exactly at Sunset. It is recommended to pause any prayers precisely during sunrise and sunset.
